Arkansas
Specialty Insurance

They call it the Natural State for a reason, and most of what people enjoy here rides on a trailer. Harvey Insurance covers Arkansas boats, campers, side-by-sides, motorcycles, and collector cars on policies designed for them rather than borrowed from somewhere else.

Why a Separate Policy, and Not an Endorsement

Arkansas households tend to accumulate recreational equipment quietly — a jon boat, then a bigger one, a side-by-side for the deer lease, a camper, eventually something in the garage worth restoring. Each addition is assumed to be handled somewhere on the existing policies, and mostly it is not. Home insurance offers a small allowance for watercraft and no off-premises liability. Auto insurance does not recognize motorcycles, motorhomes, or UTVs as covered vehicles at all. The result is a garage and a driveway holding real value that would be settled at pennies after a fire, a theft, or a hailstorm, with no liability protection whatsoever for the injuries these things are actually capable of causing.

Each of these is its own policy form for a reason.

Watercraft & Boats
Coverage for the hull, the outboard, the trailer, and your liability on Arkansas lakes and rivers — bass rigs, pontoons, and personal watercraft alike.
Motorhomes & Travel Trailers
Protection for RVs whether they are weekend rigs or full-time residences, including campsite liability and the contents inside.
Side-by-Sides & ATVs
Off-road machines insured on the trails and public riding areas where Arkansas owners actually use them.
Motorcycles
Touring, cruiser, sport, and adventure bikes, with coverage for the aftermarket parts that a standard policy ignores.
Collector & Classic Vehicles
Agreed-value contracts written around limited annual mileage and proper storage, priced for how a collector car is really driven.

The Arkansas exposures that matter

Three things shape recreational claims in this state more than anything else.

Water

Lakes, Rivers & Current

Between Beaver, Ouachita, Greers Ferry, Bull Shoals, and the rivers feeding them, Arkansas boating happens on varied water with real hazards. On-water liability is not something a home policy provides.

Mountains

Trails and Steep Ground

The Ozarks and Ouachitas draw riders to places like Wolf Pen Gap and the national forest trail systems, where rollover and passenger-injury exposure is genuinely higher than on flat ground.

Storms

Hail, Wind & Falling Timber

Arkansas storm seasons drop hail and hardwood limbs on whatever is parked outside. Comprehensive coverage on each specialty policy is what pays for that.

Why Harvey Insurance

What we get right on these policies

The mistakes in specialty coverage are predictable and avoidable.

01

Trailers Are Not Assumed

A boat or UTV trailer is separate property and is routinely left off the policy entirely. We schedule it deliberately.

02

Liability Sized to the Machine

A side-by-side carrying passengers on a mountain trail is a serious liability exposure. We do not treat it as an afterthought to a physical-damage policy.

03

Layup and Storage Months

We keep off-season coverage intact so a winter fire or a spring hailstorm does not land on an uninsured asset.

FAQ

Common questions about specialty insurance in Arkansas

Will my home policy pay if my bass boat is stolen?
It will pay a fraction. Arkansas homeowners policies generally include a small watercraft sublimit that falls far short of what a modern bass rig, motor, and electronics are worth, and they exclude the liability side entirely. A boat policy covers the actual value and adds the on-water liability that matters when someone is hurt.
Is a UTV covered while I am riding on a trail?
Not under home or auto coverage. Homeowners protection generally stops at the edge of your property, and auto policies do not classify off-road vehicles as covered vehicles. Riding at Wolf Pen Gap, in the Ouachita National Forest, or on leased hunting ground requires a policy written for off-road use.
How does agreed value work on a collector car?
You and the carrier agree on the vehicle’s value when the policy is issued, and that is the figure paid on a total loss — no depreciation argument and no book-value dispute afterward. It is the single most important difference between a collector policy and putting an old car on a standard auto policy.
Can these be bundled with my Arkansas home and auto?
Usually, and it often lowers the total. Most carriers apply multi-policy credits when specialty lines are written alongside your home and auto coverage, and consolidating also means one agency handles the whole picture at renewal and at claim time.
