Risk Profile

What actually happens to cars here

DFW driving has its own rhythm, and certain claims show up over and over. Worth understanding before you renew.

Spring

Hail Damage

Spring storms put a real dent in cars and trucks across DFW — sometimes literally. Frisco drivers think about comprehensive coverage with hail in mind. We help you think through it realistically.

Daily

Commute Exposure

Tollway, US 75, I-35E, the Bush Turnpike — commute corridors around Frisco carry serious volume. Collision and property-damage claims follow the traffic, and that affects how we approach coverage.

Year-Round

Theft & Vandalism

Auto theft varies a lot by neighborhood across the metroplex. We talk through what makes sense in Frisco for where you park and where you drive.

Major Corridors

Frisco driving, corridor by corridor

Frisco drivers rely on a handful of corridors every day. We help drivers think about coverage in the context of how they actually drive:

Dallas North Tollway

The artery from Frisco into Dallas. High-speed, high-volume, and a regular source of commute-related claims.

Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121)

East-west across north Frisco connecting to Plano and McKinney. Traffic builds fast in both directions during peak hours.

US 380

The growth corridor pulling development north into Prosper and Celina. Commercial traffic and frequent construction zones.

FAQ

Common Frisco auto insurance questions

My teenager just got a license. Do I have to add them?
Yes, and quietly not doing so is the version of this that goes badly. Household members of driving age are expected to be listed, and a carrier that discovers an unlisted licensed driver after a crash has options that range from unpleasant to catastrophic. Adding a teenager is expensive; having a claim contested because they were never disclosed is worse.
Is it cheaper to put the teenager on the oldest car?
Often, though not always in the way people assume. Carriers commonly assign the highest-rated driver to the highest-rated vehicle regardless of who usually drives what, so buying a cheap car for a new driver does not automatically produce a cheap outcome. Ask how your specific carrier assigns drivers to vehicles before you buy a car on that theory.
Does a good-student discount really make a difference?
It is one of the few meaningful levers available on a teenage driver, and it is frequently unclaimed simply because nobody asked. Most carriers also offer credit for a recognized driver training course, and some for telematics monitoring, which teenagers dislike and which can substantially reduce the premium. Together these are worth more than shopping the policy.
Our student is away at college without a car. Do we still pay for them?
Usually less. Many carriers offer a reduced rate for a student living beyond a set distance from home without a vehicle, on the basis that they only drive when they are back. It requires telling the carrier, which is the step households forget. If your driver went away in August, it is worth a call now rather than at renewal.
