A Destination Trail System, and What It Attracts

Mena is a small county seat with an outsized off-road reputation, and the reason is the trail system in the Ouachita National Forest just east of town. Wolf Pen Gap is not a beginner network. It runs mud, rock, water and grade in combinations that reward a well-built machine and expose a marginal one, and the riders it attracts arrive towing from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and further. That mix creates a pattern worth naming. Visiting riders are on unfamiliar ground, which is where the injury claims come from; local riders are on the same trails often enough to have modified their machines heavily, which is where the valuation problems come from. Both groups leave equipment sitting in staging lots, campgrounds and motel parking overnight, which is where the theft claims come from. There is also the drive itself — Rich Mountain and the roads over it are steep and switchbacked, and a loaded trailer behaving badly on that grade is its own kind of loss. Does my policy follow me if I ride Wolf Pen Gap from out of state?

Is the trailer covered, or just the machine?
